Nab has requested me to do the 30-Day Challenge with her. Read her blog @styrofoamtoys to see her first 30-Day Challenge post about her Best Friend. And lucky for her, this post is dedicated to her. Nab, stay happy always!
Day 1: Your Best Friend
Best Friend: Nabeela Binte Syed Ibrahim
Friends are people who come and go easily. Friends argue and get back together again like a broken bridge. You just need to bond back together by picking up the broken pieces of that friendship and helping each other rebuild this broken bridge and continue walking together. Nabeela, we've been doing this for the past 8 years of our lives and we've never fail to brighten up each other's day, thanks so very much!
We started knowing each other at a very young age, even our moms knew each other before we were given birth to. We went to the same kindergarten, and suprisingly, the same primary school. Even more suprising, we were both given the chance to go to Queensway Secondary. We go to the same schools every time and end up seeing each other in school everybody, without being sick looking at the same face every year. We go to after-school hang outs together, and we spent most of our times having fun there.
We also stay quite near to other. Just a couple of bus-stops away and we usually meet up and go out last year. Remember those times at Pandan with Johnson and Jolyn and the rest? It was awesome spending our holidays together and most of our free time.
Most importantly, you have been there for me when I needed you, when I was down and the skies were dark and grey. You were always there to joke with me, making my day much better. I share my problems and secrets with you and I feel much better after that because I trust you more than anybody in the whole, wide world and even my parents aren't my options of keeping a secret with. You keep my secret tight in your heart, making sure it's safe there and no where near anybody. Thanks for being there for me, and helping me solve my problems, listening to my rantings (:
You also do things for me not many people might do for a friend. I'd like to thank you for that too. If you're wondering what's the best times I had with you, were those times when it was only the two of us, hanging out, sharing things we've not had chances to share with each other early in our lives, updating each other with each other's lives. The best was when we both fell ill and we got better in the afternoon, and we sort of 'skipped school' that day and went around Pandan and West Coast, just the two of us. To top it of, we even saw the people we wanted to see (: We even bought the gassy bubble tea, and that was our first time trying it!
Though, with all those precious and sweet memories we share, there are times were our friendship crumbles and we argue about things. It's normal for friends to fight or argue and it's not something to argue with, 'cause it's natural. But we always be-friend each other again. You were most of the time the first person to try to build back the bridge that has broken apart, which is what I admire of you. You are very honest and straight-forward with me and tell me what you think or feel about me. And even if it's negative, i never mind because at least you were honest and get to realise my mistake or negativity. And because of your honesty, I learn from your mistakes and fix myself.
And I'm sorry for all the things I've done in the past that has come to upset you or annoy you. I do things like that, I know. But I hope you can forgive me for everything I've done to you and I hope our friendship will stay for as long as it can. Thanks Nab for being there for me, you're the best ♥
Day 2 of the 30-Day Challenge, coming soon. Maybe tonight.
